Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and motivated Event Coordinator with experience in the NDIS sector to join our team in Sydney, NSW. In this role, you will take the lead in planning and delivering events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet the needs of our attendees and partners. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to shape our processes and contribute to the growth of a new organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and execute events, with a focus on the needs of the NDIS community and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with attendees, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure events meet accessibility standards and provide inclusive experiences for all participants.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue bookings, schedules, and on-site coordination.
  • Assist in developing event promotion strategies and materials to attract attendees.
  • Support the organisation’s growth by contributing to sales efforts and partnerships.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure events are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Evaluate event outcomes and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in event coordination or management, ideally with exposure to the NDIS sector or a similar field.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and an understanding of the needs of the NDIS community.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute to the success of a new organisation.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage but not required.
